Iskender Kebap
İskender kebap is one of the most famous meat foods of northwestern Turkey and takes its name from its inventor, İskender Efendi (İskender meaning 'Alexander'), who lived in Bursa in the late 19th century
It is a kind of doner kebap prepared from thinly cut grilled lamb basted with hot tomato sauce over pieces of pita bread and generously slathered with melted sheep butter and yogurt. |
Pideli Kofte – Meatballs with Pita
It is a very similar dish to Iskender Kebap onky difference being meatballs placed over the pita instead of doner.
—Delicious tomato sauce and melted butter topping and yoghurt on the side remain the same. This dish is a very famous speciality of Bursa
Sultan Baba Iskender kebap
In order to offer the most traditional taste of Iskender kebap, we adhere to the traditional way of cooking and serving Iskender.
We use CHARCOAL fired doner machine which is our own design. Charcoal fire leaves a delicisous taste on the meat but it is also very difficult to use. We use original butter and tomato paste which are sourced from Turkey Lahmacun
Lahmacun, “meat with dough", is an item of prepared food consisting of a round, thin piece of dough topped with minced meat (most commonly beef and lamb) and minced vegetables and herbs including onions, tomatoes and parsley. It is a major element of Turkish cuisine.
Cantik
Cantik is a special type of pita which is made only in Bursa. It looks like Lahmacun but it has a thicker dough and spice rich topping. It is a traditional item of Turkish Bursa kitchen since Ottoman times
Turkish Pide – Pita

Künefe is considered to be one of the most delicious Turkish desserts, especially in the city of Antakya (Antioch) located on Mediterrenean Sea, in Southern Turkey. It is a traditional and common dessert of Turkish and Arabic cuisines
